Program OverviewRIVA Solutions supports Federal customers in strengthening financial management operations, reconciliation accuracy, reporting integrity, and audit readiness across complex government environments. Our teams help agencies maintain sound accounting practices, improve reporting quality, and support compliant financial operations that are essential to mission success.
This role contributes to core accounting and reporting activities by supporting reconciliations, financial reporting cycles, audit support, and documentation efforts that improve the accuracy and completeness of financial data.
Position OverviewRIVA Solutions is seeking a Staff Accountant II to support financial reconciliations, reporting cycles, and day-to-day accounting operations. This role contributes to accurate financial reporting, documentation quality, and audit readiness through account analysis, reporting support, and coordination of financial data across key accounting activities.
The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, a solid accounting foundation, and the ability to work effectively in a structured, compliance-driven federal environment.
Core Responsibilities- Perform account reconciliations, including AR/AP, FBWT, UDOs, and related accounting areas
- Support preparation of financial adjustments and journal entries
- Assist with trial balance validation and financial reporting support
- Support GTAS and related financial reporting cycles
- Assist with audit support activities, including documentation and PBC preparation
- Contribute to the development of SOPs and cycle memoranda
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of financial data
- Collaborate with team members to support reporting deadlines and accounting operations
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
- 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a federal environment
- Experience with account reconciliations and financial reporting support
- Understanding of federal accounting fundamentals, including exposure to USSGL
- Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- U.S. Citizenship required and ability to obtain and maintain a Federal clearance
- Experience supporting GTAS or federal financial reporting cycles
- Experience with Oracle EBS, UFMS, or similar financial systems
- Experience supporting audit readiness and documentation efforts
- Familiarity with federal accounting operations in a compliance-driven environment
Up to $95,000 per year, based on experience
