IDR is seeking a Sourcing & Contracts Specialist to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Houston, TX. This role involves supporting procurement and contracting activities within a dynamic organization operating in the energy and utilities industry. The position offers the chance to contribute to operational excellence in a collaborative environment.
Position Overview for the Sourcing & Contracts Specialist:
- Provide operational support to the Strategic Sourcing team, focusing on procurement and contracting activities.
- Assist with vendor onboarding, purchase order processing, and contract tracking.
- Support the review and drafting of lower-risk agreements, escalating potential risks as needed.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for internal clients regarding procurement inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and assist with process improvement initiatives.
Requirements for the Sourcing & Contracts Specialist:
- 2+ years of relevant experience in procurement, contract operations, finance, or purchase order & requisition processing.
- Experience with vendor onboarding, supplier setup, or contract tracking and documentation management.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to perform basic review of lower-risk contracts using standard guidance and templates.
- Familiarity with procurement systems such as Coupa, SAP, or similar.
