IDR is seeking a Senior Accountant to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in El Segundo, California. This role is within a dynamic organization in the healthcare industry, supporting various accounting and financial operations to ensure compliance and process efficiency.
Position Overview for the Senior Accountant:
- Support month-end and year-end close activities, financial analysis, and reporting.
- Participate in projects focused on transforming and improving shared service processes.
- Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and review staff work for accuracy and compliance.
- Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls.
- Develop, document, and implement Standard Operating Procedures for key accounting processes.
Requirements for the Senior Accountant:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, with at least 2 years of public accounting experience preferred.
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Proven track record of successfully leading and implementing process improvement initiatives.
