IDR is seeking a Principal Azure Engineer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Dallas, Texas. This role involves leading the architecture, implementation, and delivery of enterprise-scale Microsoft Azure solutions within a dynamic organization specializing in healthcare technology. The position combines technical leadership with project management and requires a hands-on approach to cloud engineering.

Position Overview for the Principal Azure Engineer:

• Serve as a senior technical leader responsible for architecting, implementing, and delivering enterprise Azure solutions.
• Blend advanced hands-on Azure engineering expertise with end-to-end ownership of technical delivery.
• Lead initiatives in the absence of dedicated project management support, ensuring successful execution.
• Translate complex business requirements into secure, scalable cloud solutions.
• Drive operational excellence and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support large-scale Azure initiatives.

Requirements for the Principal Azure Engineer:

• 10+ years of enterprise IT experience with 4+ years in senior-level Azure cloud engineering or architecture roles.
• Deep hands-on experience with Azure infrastructure including VNETs, NSGs, AKS, VMs, storage, and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, Azure DevOps, and GitHub Actions.
• Experience designing and supporting enterprise Azure networking, hybrid cloud connectivity, and on-prem to Azure migrations.
• Proven ability to lead large-scale Azure initiatives, coordinate cross-functional teams, and drive delivery from design through implementation.
