IDR is seeking a People Technology Data Analyst (Oracle HCM Specialist) to join one of our top clients in Bowie, MD.
This role is pivotal in supporting an Oracle HCM data remediation and system optimization initiative within the People Technology function. The successful candidate will play a hands-on role in improving data quality, resolving system issues, and supporting HR and Compensation teams across Core HR, Compensation, Workforce Management, and Time & Absence. Lead comprehensive audits and remediation of employee data across Oracle HCM modules including Core HR, Compensation, Workforce Management, and Time & Absence
Perform systematic data validation across multiple systems (payroll, benefits, recruiting, rewards) to identify discrepancies and root causes
Execute high-volume data corrections using Oracle tools such as HCM Data Loader (HDL)
Develop and maintain data quality tracking mechanisms and audit protocols
Partner with Compensation and other People teams to validate data accuracy
Research and troubleshoot system behaviors, unexpected results, and process failures
Analyze integrations and data flows between Oracle HCM and connected enterprise systems
Identify configuration issues contributing to data quality problems and recommend improvements
Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot OTBI and BI Publisher reports for data analysis and validation
Document current-state configurations, data definitions, business rules, and remediation actions
Support user acceptance testing (UAT) for system changes and data updates
Proven experience performing large-scale Oracle HCM data remediation, cleanup, or migration
Hands-on expertise with Oracle Fusion HCM, particularly Core HR, Compensation, and Workforce Management
Strong proficiency with HCM Data Loader (HDL)
Experience building and maintaining OTBI and BI Publisher reports
Ability to write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and validation
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/INDEX-MATCH, SUMIFS, data validation)
Strong understanding of the Person, Employment, and Assignment data model
Experience validating data across multiple systems and identifying root causes
Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage high-volume data accurately
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain data issues in business terms
Bachelor’s degree required; equivalent HRIS or People Technology experience considered
