IDR is seeking a Gift Shop Associate to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Memphis, TN. This role supports the hospital gift shop customer service and sales team in a retail environment dedicated to serving patients, families, visitors, and staff with compassion and professionalism.
Position Overview for the Gift Shop Associate:
- Greet customers, answer product questions, and assist with selections and purchases.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems to process transactions accurately (cash, credit, mobile payments).
- Handle returns, exchanges, and basic customer concerns in a professional manner while maintaining a welcoming, clean, and organized shopping environment.
- Support merchandising & inventory tasks, including stocking shelves, supporting seasonal resets, and maintaining visual standards.
- Assist with receiving, unpacking, and organizing inventory shipments, and monitor inventory levels to communicate restocking needs.
Requirements for the Gift Shop Associate:
- 1-2 plus years' experience.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in cash handling and inventory tasks.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, emotionally sensitive environment.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
