IDR is seeking a Database Administrator to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Austin, TX. This organization operates within the technology and data management industry, focusing on ensuring efficient database performance and security. This role provides a chance to work on complex systems in a dynamic environment.
Position Overview for the Database Administrator:
- Manage and support DB2 databases across multiple platforms including AIX, UNIX, and Linux.
- Ensure high availability, security, and performance of database systems.
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize database queries and processes.
- Maintain database licensing and passport advantage configurations.
- Provide troubleshooting and solutions for database issues in a hybrid work setting.
Requirements for the Database Administrator:
- 8+ years of experience in database administration.
- Proven experience with DB2 databases.
- Knowledge of DB2 licensing and passport advantage.
- Experience working on AIX, UNIX, or Linux platforms.
- Shell programming and scripting skills.
