IDR is seeking an Accounting Manager to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in El Segundo, California. This role involves overseeing and supporting month-end and year-end close activities, financial analysis, and process improvements within an industrial manufacturing environment. The company is focused on transforming accounting processes and ensuring compliance with internal controls.
Position Overview for the Accounting Manager:
- Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, reviews, and team coordination
- Prepare and review complex accounting analyses such as accruals, reserves, revenue, and fixed assets
- Act as the first line of quality control before items escalate to senior leadership
- Develop, document, and implement standard operating procedures for key accounting functions
- Support system upgrades and revenue recognition initiatives, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Requirements for the Accounting Manager:
- 5+ years of experience, with 2+ years in public accounting preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; Master’s degree preferred
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and proficiency in Excel and Microsoft applications
- Proven ability to lead process improvement initiatives and meet deadlines
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively
